SEQUIM – Sequim Service Fest wraps up Friday with a closing ceremony and free concert in Carrie Blake Park.
Volunteers will put in a half day’s work before being treated to lunch courtesy of Dungeness Community Church. Everyone will get a couple of hours to rest up, and at 5:30 the festivities will get underway at the James Center concert stage. Administrative Services Director Sue Hagener has more:

City officials will take time to thank the Care-A-Vanners and other volunteers, and then Black Diamond Junction will get the music started at 6:00. Wind Rose Cellars will host a wine garden at the concert as well.
The first-of-it’s-kind neighborhood revitalization event, a partnership between the city, Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, and First Federal, sprung from modest roots several years ago with free trash disposal days. Hagener says things gradually took off from there:

It’s a free event Friday, Carrie Blake Park, 5:30 to 8.
