CLALLAM COUNTY – Local residents Deana Volker and Patty Pastore received much-deserved recognition this week for their efforts to make Clallam County a more livable place for everyone.

Sheriff Benedict, along with Corrections Sergeant Don Wenzl, presented them with Meritorious Service Awards for their tireless work of cleaning up the county. The Sheriff tells us how they came to be singled out:

Port Angeles Police Chief Brian Smith also attended the presentation and spoke about the positive impact that Pastore, Volker and their friends have had in the City of Port Angeles due to their cleanup efforts.
