PORT ANGELES – Reed Martin, 66, of Port Angeles, appeared in Superior Court on Friday in a bomb threat case, and is being held on $30,000 bail.
On May 21ST, Officer Whitney Fairbanks and Sergeant Kori Malone responded to a call at a social service office in the 100 block of E. 8th Street and were told they’d received a bomb threat letter.
PAPD’s investigation, with assistance from the FBI and OPNET, led to Martin’s arrest on Thursday. Deputy Chief Jason Viada picks it up from there:
Making a bomb threat is a class B felony punishable of up to 10 years in prison and $20,000. Filing of formal charges is scheduled for Tuesday, June 19, at 1:00 PM.
