CLALLAM COUNTY – Clallam County has selected four finalists in the search for a new County Administrator to replace Jim Jones, who retires in September. The finalists will have on-site interviews on September 6 and 7, and the public will get a chance to meet them on the 6TH at 5:00 PM.

Dean Brookshier has most recently served as the County Administrator for Clay County, Missouri. He has also served as the owner of a family cattle business. Previously, he served as City Administrator for the City of Chillicothe, and he was Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Congressman Sam Graves. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Missouri Western State University.

Keith Campbell is currently the City Manager for the City of Stayton, Oregon. Previously, he served as City Clerk for the City of Shawnee, Kansas, and before that, he was the Deputy County Clerk for Douglas County, Kansas. He holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.

David Fraser is currently the Senior Associate for Municipal Solutions in Goodyear, Arizona. Previously, he served as City Manager in Boulder City, Nevada. Before that, he was the City Administrator of Beloit, Kansas, City Manager of Buchanan, Michigan, and Town Administrator of Miliken, Colorado. He holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University.

Colleen McAleer is currently a Commissioner for the Port of Port Angeles. She was most recently the Senior Director of Administration and Programs for Airborne ECS. She has also served as President of the Washington Business Alliance, Director of Business Development for the Port, Owner/Commercial Investment Broker for Team McAleer, and a US Army Officer. She holds a master’s certificate from the Certified Commercial Investment Institute and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Florida Institute of Technology.

The County Commission selected Strategic Government Resources to conduct and manage the nationwide search, and received 33 applications from individuals in 16 states.
