PORT ANGELES – We have a few more details about the Winter Ice Village and ice-skating rink coming to downtown Port Angeles this winter.

The ice rink, located at 121 W. Front Street, next to the Station 51 Taphouse, will open the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 23 and go until Sunday January 6. At 3200 square feet, it will have the capacity to hold 120 skaters. They’ll be open for business from 9 to 9 Monday through Saturday, and 11 to 9 on Sunday, but will pause the action to resurface with the Zamboni every 90 minutes.

The price to skate, including skate and equipment rentals, will be $15 dollars, except for kids age 4-12, seniors and veterans, who will pay $10. And every tenth visit is free. If you want to host a birthday party, that’ll be $75 for two hours.

The Chamber of Commerce is also looking for volunteers to help keep things running smoothly, including folks in the ticket booth, skate rentals, and rink managers for 5 and 6 hour shifts. To find out more go to events@portangeles.org or call (360) 797-9345.
