PORT ANGELES — Another Port Angeles School District student has reported an attempted luring.

It’s the second incident reported last week. This time it was a Roosevelt Elementary student who was walking home after being dropped of by the school bus on 3rd Avenue east of Port Angeles. School district officials say the student was wearing headphones on, when a van pulled up. The student saw the man say something, but couldn’t hear him. He thought he said “Do you want some candy?”

The man was described as clean shaven, 30 to 40 years old,  wearing a green and gray flannel shirt. The van was a newer model, around 2010, with no windows, and was clean.

The student reported what happened to his parent and police were contacted.

The incident happened the same week a student at Stevens Middle School reported a man tried to lure him while he waited for his parent after wrestling practice in front of the school.

The district sent warning emails and messages to parents after becoming aware of both incidents.
