PORT ANGELES – Pennies For Quarters, a local non-profit whose mission is to help end veteran homelessness on the Olympic Peninsula, announced Saturday that they have purchased just under 7.5 acres of property in Clallam County west of Port Angeles near Airport Road.  The goal of the organization is to build a cluster of tiny homes to be used as transitional housing.

Founder and president Matthew Rainwater:

Group members met with engineer Zach Slota of Go United Engineering and representatives from the Department of Community Development as part of their feasibility study and determined the property, on Devanny Lane was sufficient for their needs.

Rainwater says Pennies for Quarters is planning a “Q&A” session for the property owners in the area in the near future.
