TWISP, Wash. – A trooper with the Washington State Patrol helped deliver a baby on the side of a highway in Eastern Washington Sunday.

Trooper John Bryant shared the news on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Bryant said Trooper Travis Cunningham helped deliver baby Luke on SR 153 South of Twisp, around 6:30 a.m.

Officials said Luke, dad Joseph and mom Amy are doing great.

A picture posted on Twitter showed Cunningham with Luke and Joseph holding the baby, and we’ve posted the shot on our KONP Facebook page.
