CLALLAM BAY – A woman was arrested last week after Clallam Bay prison officials say she tried to smuggle drugs into the facility.

68-year-old Pauline Beal was arrested Friday after investigators say she tried to bring a mixture of approximately 1.38 ounces of methamphetamine, heroin and suboxone into a visiting area of the prison. Beal had allegedly tried to bring the drugs into the facility for an inmate at the prison.

Clallam County sheriff’s deputies were called to the prison to conduct the investigation into the Maple Valley woman’s actions. She was booked into the Clallam County jail on drug possession and delivery charges.
