PORT ANGELES – Washington state has a Violent Offender Task Force that focuses on people with felony warrants for crimes of violence, drug crimes, and sex crimes as well as convicted felons on active probation who are wanted by the Department of Corrections.

This week they’re conducting what they call Operation Spring Cleaning, which is a two-day operation to round up people with outstanding warrants. This warrant team included members from OPNET, the Clallam and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Departments, as well as officers from the Department of Corrections and Border Patrol.

Tuesday was Day One of the operation locally, which netted 13 arrests.

Among those arrested was Matthew Ennen, wanted by the Department of Corrections, who reportedly was living at an apartment rented by Marie Haller on West Lauridsen Blvd. Haller herself has been the subject of an OPNET investigation for about 6 months.

The warrant team arrived at the address Tuesday and knocked at the front door of the second-floor apartment. Before anybody came to the front door, Ennen jumped from the second-floor back window, where detectives were waiting. Ennen was cuffed and taken into custody.

Haller and Josh Tinker were then escorted from the apartment. Officers, warrant in hand, conducted a search of the premises and found over a pound of heroin, about 84 grams of meth, and over $13,000 in cash.

Both Haller and Ennen were booked for Possession with Intent to Deliver.

We’ll let you know what Day Two of Operation Spring Cleaning reveals.
