LACEY, Wash. — Last year there were 13 suspicious cat deaths in Thurston County.

Those killings are as yet stilled unsolved, and there’s a $53,000 reward offered to find the killer.

Now the community is on alert again after another cat was found dead in Lacey. Attached to the cat’s body was part of the reward flier circulated last year.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday, July 7 to find part of the cat’s body left along a fence near a storm water pond.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said as the investigation continues, people should watch their pets, and report anything suspicious.

The tip line for Crime Stoppers is 1-800-222-TIPS.
