PORT ANGELES – Rescuers found a man who got lost on his newly purchased property east of Port Angeles.

Yesterday evening deputies responded to the area of Twilight Beach Road to help search for 66-year-old Kenneth Curl of Maple Valley, WA. He had been exploring his newly purchased wooded property and had not returned to his family who had been waiting for him in their vehicle.

Curl last had phone contact with his family at about an hour earlier saying he had found an access road and was on his way back to them. Deputies attempted to contact Curl via phone but his phone was turned off due to low battery.

Clallam County Search and Rescue later located Curl cold and wet but in good health on an access road in the area. Curl was reunited with his family.
