BELLEVUE, Wash. — A tank filled with tar overturned Friday morning at Bellevue Way and Northup Way, spilling its entire load.

The call about the crash came in to police at 9:30 a.m.

The driver appeared to be navigating too quickly around the corner and rolled the trailer. The tank spilled over, and the truck fled the scene.

Police are looking at traffic cameras to attempt to get a description of the truck.

The roadway was closed for several hours while utility crews worked to clean up the spill.

Police are saying if anyone expected to have their driveway repaved and the truck didn’t show up, please call Bellevue authorities.
