PORT ANGELES – Eric Greene of Neah Bay was sentenced Wednesday to a minimum prison term of 10 years for rape of a child in the first and second degree.

Superior Court Judge Brian Coughenour also sentenced Greene to lifetime supervision and lifetime registration as a sex offender.

Greene, 54, sexually assaulted two female family members over a period of years while he was supposed to be babysitting them.

Greene is prohibited from contacting either of the survivors for life, and the Review Board may choose to extend his incarceration up to the remainder of his life.

Greene, who was arrested in January, expressed his apologies through his attorney, stating that he did not want to put the girls through the trauma of a trial.
