PORT ANGELES – A Port Angeles man entered guilty pleas to drug charges and will spend six years in prison.

29-year-old Matthew Ennen was sentenced in Clallam County Superior Court for charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver Heroin, and possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine.

He was arrested last May as the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team assisted in “Operation Spring Cleaning”, a warrant roundup being led by the Western District of Washington Violent Offender Task Force.

Ennen was wanted for violations with the state Department of Corrections. The warrant team arrived at his apartment at Wildwood Terrace, off west Lauridsen Boulevard. But before officers knocked, Ennen jumped from the second-floor back window where detectives were waiting.  Officers found heroin, methamphetamine, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia in Ennen’s backpack.
