SEATTLE – Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett avoided surgery and is OK after suffering a leg injury in Monday night’s victory over the 49ers.

Lockett was injured late in the game with what Pete Carroll called a “really bad lower leg bruise.”

Carroll said team doctors were concerned about swelling in Lockett’s leg, and he spent the night at Stanford Hospital out of precaution.

The Seahawks beat the 49ers 27-24 on a game-winning 42-yard field goal by Jason Meyers in overtime.

Lockett leads the Seahawks this season with 62 receptions for 793 yards and six touchdowns.

The 8-2 Seahawks are on a bye this week and next travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles on Nov. 24.
