SEATTLE – Police recovered a man’s stolen iPad and laptop and arrested three people earlier this month after tracking the electronics to a Seattle parking lot.

Just after midnight on November 10th, a man called police and said he’d tracked his laptop and iPad, which had been taken from his car in Bellevue a day earlier, to the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Capitol Hill.

When officers arrived, the victim pointed police to a Honda CRV in the lot. Officers found a 40-year-old man standing outside the SUV, holding the victim’s stolen backpack, and police soon discovered the car had been reported stolen and had fake temporary tags.

Officers recovered the victim’s stolen items as well as 19 small baggies containing heroin and meth. Police arrested the 40-year-old as well as a 34-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, who were in the Honda, and both had warrants.
