PORT ANGELES – Forecasters say there’s a slight chance of snow flurries coming to the north Olympic Peninsula this holiday week.
According to the National Weather Service, snow levels may drop below 1000 feet by Tuesday morning. If a convergence zone sets up, that could mean some snowflakes through the central and eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca. If snow does develop, it will most likely be spotty and less than an inch.
The bigger issue is icy roads. Cold temperatures through most of the rest of the week could lead to slick roads and icy conditions in many areas.
There may be another round of snow possibly late next weekend.
