Authorities say an 85-year-old woman killed a roommate, shot another and then tried to kill herself at their home south of Seattle.

Police received a 911 call from the shooting victim around 1 a.m. Thursday reporting she had been shot in her home in Federal Way. Officers arrived to find one woman dead from “blunt force trauma” and the woman who had been shot.

Both women were in their 30s. The surviving victim named an 85-year-old woman who lived with them as the suspect. That woman was arrested.
