Amazon announced Monday they need to hire 100,000 people nationwide to keep up with the fast-growing volume of orders as the virus is now keeping more people at home and shopping online.

And they’re raising the starting wage by $2 per hour for new hires to work at their warehouses, delivery centers and Whole Foods grocery stores, for a base hourly wage of at least $17.
