PORT ANGELES – The Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the victims and suspect in today’s early morning homicide that left three dead near Sequim.

34-year-old Samantha Faber and her brother, 32-year-old James Faber, Jr. were shot to death by the suspect, also deceased, 25-year-old Jacob Hunter.

Sgt. John Keegan with the Sheriff’s Office told us Hunter was living in the Faber’s home on Sheldon Lane at the time of the shooting.

Authorities say at approximately 12:15 am, deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office responded to a felony assault with a firearm that was in progress inside the home.

The caller told dispatchers that there were 7 people, including the suspect, still in the home and that at least 2 people had been shot. There were children in the house at the time of the shootings, though authorities have not released the number of children or their ages.

Deputies and officers with the City of Sequim Police Department arrived and were able to evacuate the survivors from the house and then attempted to negotiate with the suspect. Meanwhile, law enforcement officers from several other agencies prepared to make a tactical entry.

When the suspect did not respond, authorities entered the house and discovered 3 deceased individuals, including the suspect.
