The North Cascades National Park complex has reopened in a limited way.

The park announced that three popular overlooks along state Route 20, the North Cascades Highway, reopened today. They are the Diablo Lake, Ross Lake, and Gorge Creek Falls overlooks.

The park system’s trails are open for day use only. Many have not been assessed or cleared of winter blowdown.

The Stehekin marina and public docks, at the head of Lake Chelan, are now open for day use only. So are boat launching facilities on Diablo and Ross Lakes.

But a great deal of the park complex remains closed. The closure includes all campgrounds, as well as all backcountry campsites. All visitor and wilderness information centers, notably at Marblemount and Newhalem, remain shut as well.
