MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a Marysville woman was arrested and remained jailed this week after police believe she killed her longtime husband by running him over with her car.

63-year-old Diane Kay Thompson faces second-degree murder charges in the death of 64-year-old David Thompson.

According to a police report, David Thompson was intoxicated and arguing with his wife Sept. 4.

Another family member heard them leave the house, still arguing, before the woman left in her car and the man was seen on the ground not moving.

David Thompson died at the scene. The cause of death is under investigation.
