PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A self-proclaimed member of the far-right Proud Boys accused of firing a paintball gun at counter-protesters and aiming a revolver at others in Portland will remain in custody on $534,000 bail.

Swinney remains in custody at Inverness Jail in Oregon pending trial. His lawyer argued for Swinney’s release or lowering his bail.

Swinney has pleaded not guilty to a 12-count indictment on charges including assault, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of mace, pointing a gun at another person and menacing.
