PORT ANGELES – Winds knocked out power for more than 20-thousand Clallam PUD customers Tuesday morning.

The lights went out first in the west end of the county, but by about 7 am most of the Sequim area and east end of the county suffered widespread outages. Clallam PUD says some of the outage is linked to Bonneville Power Administration main lines into the area.

At one point, more than 65 percent of the PUD’s customers were without electricity.
