SEATTLE — (KONP staff) The City of Seattle was expected to do a sweep of Cal Anderson Park Wednesday to clear out people who have been living there for months, but officials decided to postpone the action after makeshift barriers went up and dozens of black clad protesters arrived on the scene.

The park closed in late June after it became the center of protests in the CHOP zone.

A fire, thought to be a burning tent, was seen burning in the park Wednesday morning.

A news helicopter filming the protest had to leave after someone shined a laser pointer at it.
