PORT ANGELES – Karen Goschen, Executive Director of the Port of Port Angeles, has announced her resignation in a letter to the Port Commission, saying she needs to spend more time with her ailing sister.

Goschen, who has held the position since 2016, said she would be willing to continue to lead the Port until the Commission has hired a new Executive Director. After that, she proposes that she stay on in a part-time role as a project director.
