SEQUIM — The City of Sequim has posted up the itinerary for this year’s Independence Day Celebration in Carrie Blake Park, and it does include fireworks show.

Things will get going when the Sequim City Band kicks off the celebration at 3:00 with a free concert at the band shell, including a color guard presentation by the Dungeness Unit of Civil Air Patrol.

The Buck Ellard Band will perform at 5:30, followed by the band voted best live performers the last six years, Black Diamond Junction, at 7:45 p.m.

They’ll wrap it up with a 15-minute fireworks show at 10:00 p.m.

The Sequim Valley Lions will host a beer and wine garden and a hot dog cart, and Cay Sal Pies will offer frozen pies whole or by the slice.

Park your car at the Water Reuse Park, Carrie Blake Park, Trinity United Methodist Church, Olympic View Church, and the QFC parking lot.

Everyone’s encouraged to bring a camp chair or a blanket and enjoy the celebration, but keep in mind that the discharge of fireworks is banned within the city limits.
