PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College has earned another stamp of approval for its healthcare training. The college’s Medical Assisting program has been granted continuing accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs — better known as CAAHEP.
That national recognition means the program continues to meet some of the highest standards in the industry, ensuring students are ready for the real world of healthcare. For graduates, it also opens doors to better job opportunities and professional certifications.
Rachel Pairsh, who directs the program at Peninsula College, says the news validates the hard work of faculty, staff, and students — and their commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Employers also benefit, knowing that Peninsula College graduates are coming into the field with strong skills, hands-on training, and a solid foundation to deliver quality care.
The Medical Assisting program at Peninsula trains students for careers in clinics, medical offices, and other healthcare settings, with a focus on knowledge, skills, and professional conduct.
