Port Angeles – The Port Angeles Fire Department is getting the word out to local organizations about a grant opportunity that can help bring life-saving equipment to our community.
The Medic One Foundation’s Community AED Grants Program offers a limited number of grants for the purchase of defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in public areas and made available when someone experiences cardiac arrest.
Funding is provided on a matching basis, with the Medic One Foundation contributing up to 75% of the cost of the equipment. To be eligible, organizations must be a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization or government entity.
