PORT ANGELES — A Port Hadlock man has been sentenced to more than 14 years in prison for last year’s robbery of Kitsap Bank in Sequim.
Clallam County Superior Court Judge Brent Basden sentenced 59-year-old Dale Jaff earlier this week to 14 years and three months.
Jaff entered an Alford plea to first-degree robbery, three counts of second-degree assault and second-degree theft. He did not admit guilt, but acknowledged prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him.
The robbery happened in April of last year. Police say a masked man carrying pepper spray demanded cash from a teller and fled on foot. No one was hurt.
Jaff was arrested a month later at his Port Hadlock home after investigators reviewed surveillance video and followed up on tips from the public.
He’ll also serve 18 months of community custody following his release.
