DESCRIPTION:Greywolf Elementary is offering two nights for families to register their 2026–2027 Kindergarten students.\nJoin us on April 23rd or April 27th\, any time between 4 and 6 p.m.\nFamilies are invited to take part in our registration and academic screening night. This screening is very important—it helps us create well‑balanced classrooms for the upcoming school year. Choose the date that works best for your family. We suggest April 23rd for last names A through L\, and April 27th for last names M through Z.\nFall enrollment is now open at SequimSchools.org. Children must be five years old by August 31st\, 2026. Computers will be available for on‑site registration. Together they will create a transformative evening that helps translate scientific understanding into words\, music\, and art that make the facts of climate change deeply real\, visceral and relatable. Join us for the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County Spring Plant Sale at Woodcock Demonstration Garden\, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. then reopening from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for our famous Half-price Sale. (The sale will close briefly from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in preparation for the Half-price Sale). \nWe’ll have a wide selection of everything you like to grow like veggie and tomato starts\, flowering perennials\, native plants\, ornamental grasses\, houseplants and much more. \nAll proceeds from the sale will help to maintain the 2.4-acre Woodcock Demonstration Garden and the Fifth Street Community Garden in Port Angeles. Funds from the plant sale will also support the numerous Master Gardener community services such as the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) in our local schools\, as well as Green Thumb Education Series and Digging Deeper presentations. Local floral designers will create arrangements inspired by the art in this exhibition and showcase their work alongside the art pieces they drew their inspiration from on Mother’s Day Weekend. \nDuring Art In Bloom\, PAFAC will also be offering a Flower Bar on Saturday\, May 9th from 11AM-5PM where anyone can purchase flowers for themselves\, their mother\, a mother in their life\, or anyone of their choosing. Create your own floral bouquet or purchase one made by Port Angeles Fine Arts Center staff. SUMMARY:Fifth Street Community Garden Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Fifth Street Community Garden Clinics will occur on the second Saturday of the month during the growing season from 10:00-11:30 a.m. starting April 11. Master Gardeners from the 5th ST Garden Team will assist on a rotating bases. They will be available to tour the garden\, answer plant clinic questions and give vegetable gardening advice on what is happening or should be happening in Clallam County vegetable gardens. Please also join the Master Gardeners as they collectively cover “Let’s Get Growing: Soil and Seed Tips.”\nOther garden clinics will occur May 9\, June 13\, July 11\, August 8\, and September 12\, are free and will occur rain or shine.\nThe Fifth Street Community Garden is located at 328 E. Fifth Street\, Port Angeles\, across from City Hall.

DESCRIPTION:“Field Notes” is a visual love letter to the birds of the Pacific Northwest—an exhibition where art\, observation\, and reverence for the natural world converge. Inspired by the legacy of John James Audubon and rooted deeply in the unique ecology of this region\, the show brings together contemporary artists whose work responds to the presence of birds not only as subjects of beauty\, but as symbols of change\, migration\, resilience\, and interconnectedness. \nAt the heart of “Field Notes” is a tribute to the late Anne Goetzman’s lifelong devotion to birds and art. A meticulous observer and skilled painter\, Goetzman’s work bridges science and soul—rendering each feather and wing with both precision and wonder. Her influence echoes throughout this exhibition\, not only in her own featured works\, but in the ethos of attentiveness and care that guides the artists here. From detailed studies to expressive interpretations\, each piece in “Field Notes” represents a moment of attention—of pausing to look\, to listen\, and to record. Collectively\, these works form a tapestry of Pacific Northwest life—ephemeral\, wild\, and deeply interconnected. \nVisitors are invited to experience the exhibition at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center from April 10th through July 5th. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Port Angeles Fine Arts Center for a treasured annual tradition\, Art In Bloom\, from Friday\, May 8th-Sunday\, May 10th. For one weekend only\, the Esther Webster Gallery will be filled with living beauty\, as floral masterpieces are displayed to complement the current exhibit\, Field Notes. Local floral designers will create arrangements inspired by the art in this exhibition and showcase their work alongside the art pieces they drew their inspiration from on Mother’s Day Weekend. \nDuring Art In Bloom\, PAFAC will also be offering a Flower Bar on Saturday\, May 9th from 11AM-5PM where anyone can purchase flowers for themselves\, their mother\, a mother in their life\, or anyone of their choosing. Create your own floral bouquet or purchase one made by Port Angeles Fine Arts Center staff. While you browse the Ekphrastic Floral Designs by florists and buy a bouquet in the Courtyard\, you will also be able to enjoy a delicious coffee or drink from a favorite local vendor\, Dragon’s Brew Coffee and macarons from Tiny Biscuits Sweets and Confections. \nArt In Bloom is a celebration of former Garden Club member and PAFAC board member\, Mim Foley.
