Sequim’s Service Fest continues, seeks more volunteers

SEQUIM – The City of Sequim’s two-week Service Fest event is in full swing and the level of participation is in many respects exceeding expectations.

Volunteers have been showing up in impressive numbers, many in the form of local service groups, and residents participating in Wednesday’s Rally in the Alley event filled six 20-yard dumpsters in under two hours.

Service Fest is a partnership between the city and Habitat For Humanity of Clallam County. Executive Director Colleen Robinson says the energy is high, and there’s plenty of room for more:

 

 

Robinson says the Care-A-Vanners, volunteers who travel around the country in RV’s for just such events, have shown up in droves to do free repairs on people’s homes and anything they’re asked:
