PORT ANGELES – Folks who drive along 8th Street in Port Angeles will notice a difference today on the bridges. Westbound traffic will shift to the south side bridge lanes as crews working on the pedestrian fencing begin work on the other side this afternoon.
Along with the traffic shift, the southern sidewalks will open to pedestrians while the northern sidewalks will close. The bridges remain open to only westbound traffic with detours clearly marked for eastbound traffic.
Remember to slow down and obey the 20 mph speed limit through the work zone. Fence work is scheduled for completion, on or about, Friday September 14th.
