DUNGENESS — Fire destroyed a building that was used as a workshop and storage building for carts and other items at the Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course. Fire District Three was called to the fire about 6:30 Sunday morning.
Assistant Chief Eric Quitsland says crews were originally called on a barn fire, but when they arrived they realized it was something different.
Chief Dan Orr says the Cedars took a heavy loss on this one, as golf patrons will soon find out.
We asked the Chief if investigators had indicated a cause for the fire.
Orr says surveillance video shows that there was a lot of smoke present around the building at 2:00 in the morning. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire.
