CLALLAM COUNTY – Brandon Hall of Port Angeles is back in jail just four days after his court appearance for Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
Hall was arrested late Friday night allegedly for two burglaries, thefts, possession of a stolen truck, and is suspected to have an accomplice in the crimes who is currently being sought. The crimes span from Olympic National Park, within the city of Port Angeles, to various rural areas within Clallam County.
Hall was released from jail on September 10 after being stopped near Roosevelt Elementary School driving a brand new SUV stolen from the Ruddell Auto Dealership. The vehicle contained items believed to have been stolen from multiple locations, most notably the Fee Station on Sol Duc Hot Springs Road in the National Park.
Investigators say Hall and his accomplice met up Thursday and were driving around in a stolen truck. They went to the Heart of The Hills Fee Station and broke in early Friday morning. Deputies say Hall tried using a stolen acetylene torch to cut into a safe, but was unsuccessful.
From there they headed out to the Black Diamond Road area, ditched the truck, and separated on foot. Hall was attempting to break into a house on Old Mill Road when he encountered Port Angeles Police Officer Mike Johnson, who took Hall into custody at gun point.
Hall is back in jail, his friend is being sought, and Port Angeles Police, the National Park, and the Sheriff’s Office are conducting a joint investigation.
