SEATTLE (AP) — A theater in downtown Seattle canceled an afternoon performance of “Annie” after discovering threats from a former employee.
Bernadine Griffin, managing director at the 5th Avenue Theater, says the theater received a “credible security threat” at around noon Sunday, and shortly after decided to cancel the 1:30 p.m. matinee and contact police.
Seattle police say they arrested a former employee at his home in Shoreline on Sunday afternoon after finding threatening language posted on social media.
Theater officials say it plans to increase security through the rest of the run of the show.
