PORT ANGELES – The Port of Port Angeles has their vessel washdown facility up and running at the 19-acre Marine Trades Industrial Park on the waterfront.
Director of Engineering Chris Hartman:
The Marine Trades Industrial Park is on the former site of the K-Ply mill just west of downtown. The Port’s vision is to attract investors to set up shop in the park by providing the infrastructure they’ll need to conduct business in the maritime industry.
For now, the washdown facility will be used primarily by Westport Yachts and Platypus Marine, already well established on adjacent properties.
But Hartman says there are more projects planned and the Port is working hard to get the word out.
