PORT ANGELES – A Port Angeles man was arrested Tuesday and booked into the jail with malicious harassment after knocking over a cart of religious brochures near the memorial fountain downtown.
Kenneth Schilling, age 71, told officers that the people handing out the papers worshiped pagans and heathens, and that they are a false religion, among other things.
Schilling was booked into the jail by Officer Luke Brown for Malicious Harassment, which is a felony. Schilling’s case was expected to be reviewed by a prosecutor and presented to a judge Wednesday afternoon.
