PORT ANGELES – With the renovation work on Lauridsen Boulevard in full swing, the city of Port Angeles has announced that night work will begin September 3rd and go through Monday September 9th. During this time, the contractor will perform the noisy work of asphalt removal and re-paving from 7:00 pm – 6:00 am. No work is scheduled for Saturday the 7th or Sunday the 8th.
Folks living along Lauridsen should expect noise disturbances during this time and be wary of numerous trucks coming and going. The work area will be well lit for worker performance and safety.
Traffic through the project will be significantly restricted. Barricades will limit traffic to one lane and one direction only. Detour signs will be posted directing traffic around the project. Residents will be able to access their property but on-street parking will be temporarily eliminated.
