SEQUIM – Clallam County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for burglary after he falsely claimed to be a property manager of a vacant home.

Sunday night, deputies responded to a vacant house in the 200 block of Raintree Lane in Sequim on a report of an intoxicated man who was suicidal and may have a stolen truck.

There, they met 43-year-old Michael Bradham who insisted he was the property manager for the house and was part owner. Deputies say Bradham was intoxicated and denied being suicidal. It was determined that Bradham’s truck was not stolen. Deputies initially couldn’t dispute Bradham’s claims.

But minutes later, Bradham drove his truck up the driveway of the residence in question. Bradham was subsequently stopped and arrested DUI. Deputies say the cab and bed of the truck were full of household items ranging from power tools to clothing.

Further investigation found the property management company Bradham claimed to work for had fired him two years earlier.

Deputies checked the residence and found that it had been unlawfully entered and several items stolen. A representative of the estate in control of the house identified several of the stolen items in Bradham’s truck.

Bradham was booked into the Clallam County jail for DUI, burglary, theft and malicious mischief.
