OPNET investigation leads to arrest of Forks man

FORKS – A yearlong OPNET investigation into narcotics sales has led to the arrest of 29-year-old Forks resident Diamond Mueller.

On Monday of this week, detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of East Division Street in Forks after a confidential informant purchased meth and heroin from the suspect.

At the time they served the search warrant, Mueller was already in the Clallam County Jail on an unrelated felony bench warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm but was later released.

OPNET detectives were granted the warrant to search the home as well as the motorhome on the property where Mueller sold the drugs to the OPNET informant.

Inside the motorhome Detectives found a loaded .22 rifle and a loaded 12-gauge shotgun. Mueller is prohibited from having firearms due to a previous felony conviction. Both firearms were found to have been crudely modified to shorten their length to less than 26 inches, shorter than allowed by law. A third .22 rifle was found elsewhere in the house.

Mueller was again arrested on drug and firearms charges.

The cases have been referred to the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office for charging decisions.
