PORT ANGELES – Just as the state Employment Security Department announced that Clallam County’s unemployment rate rose to 7% in August, the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce announced the date of this year’s second Clallam County Job Fair.
The event is set for next Wednesday, October 2 at the Vern Burton Center from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
With more than 50 employers actively seeking to fill hundreds of open positions, this is the largest jobs event in the region. Participation is free to the public, and includes resume help, free haircuts, workshops on relevant topics, free job-related document printing, and a wide variety of employment support organizations and services.
The Job Fair is a joint venture between the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce, WorkSource, Olympic Medical Center, Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce, and McKinley Paper.
