Now-closed Tempest House scene of trouble

PORT ANGELES – Even after closing permanently as of midnight last night, the Tempest House supportive housing facility in Port Angeles was again the scene of vandalism and an arrest this morning.

41-year-old transient Guy Conrad Lesure was arrested for burglary and booked into jail after police responded to a burglary in progress call at about 5:30am. Initial information indicated that people were breaking out windows in the shelter.

Corporal Brian Stamon and Officer Kelly Perry arrived to find broken glass in an apartment and arrested Lesure inside.

Doc Robinson, Executive Director of Serenity House of Clallam County, announced in July he was closing down Tempest House at the end of September because of ongoing problems with damage and illegal activity on the premises.

The 13-unit apartment building on First and Albert Streets primarily housed residents who struggle with chronic mental health issues.
