MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Deputies are searching for a missing 28-year-old Moses Lake woman who has not been seen since Oct. 18.
Rachel Lakoduk was reportedly hiking the Hidden Lake Trailhead near Marblemount, where she was supposed to stay the night at a cabin, according to the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
When Lakoduk did not return the next day, her family became concerned and contacted the National Park Service.
Lakoduk’s vehicle was found at the trailhead, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Search crews went out over the weekend, but were forced to turn back due to heavy snow and avalanche danger.
The cabin Lakoduk may be in is at an elevation of 6,800 feet, complicating search and rescue efforts. Search teams have only been able to reach 6,000 feet so far.
