Clallam ballot returns reaches 17.25 percent at end of October

PORT ANGELES – Almost 2000 ballots were counted Wednesday ahead of the November 5 General Election here in Clallam County. That means that out of the almost 54,000 ballots mailed to voters, 9,273 have been returned to date, or 17.23%.

Voters have until Tuesday to get ballots postmarked or into an official dropbox to be valid. Return postage is paid this year for your ballot.

Voters are choosing a number of local races including city council, school board, port commission, as well as fire district and hospital district commission seats.
