SEQUIM – Longtime local businessman and philanthropist William (Bill) Littlejohn has died.

Littlejohn died Thursday night, December 12th at the age of 72. He was to turn 73 on December 18th.

Littlejohn’s wife, Esther, says Bill had been suffering from a neurologic disorder that doctors were unable to diagnose. Littlejohn’s  friends were surprised at his loss of health as he was always active and an avid hiker.

Littlejohn was well respected in the Sequim business community.  His businesses mostly consist of  senior and assisted living facilities.  The Sequim locations include: “Sherwood Assisted Living”, “The 5th Avenue” and “The Lodge”.  Littlejohn is also the owner of Thomas Building Supply and Olympic Ambulance.

Over the years, he donated countless dollars and time to various local charities and organizations.

He was also a past Sequim-Dungeness Valley Citizen of the Year.
