PORT ANGELES – On Sunday at 2:40 am, officers arrested 53-year-old Tacoma resident Timothy Rohn for multiple felonies. The case began when PENCOM received reports that a man was inside an antique shop in downtown Port Angeles, where the glass door appeared to be smashed open. As officers were en route, the suspect was reported to be leaving into the breezeway to the alley.
K9 Officer Whitney Fairbanks and Officer TJ Mueller arrived and found Rohn in the alley, who reportedly threatened them with a meat cleaver.
After ignoring commands by the officers to drop the weapon, Rohn was hit with a TASER and taken into custody.
The door to the business was found to be shattered and multiple jewelry items were found in Rohn’s possession. Review of surveillance video showed that the cleaver was used to shatter the door to the business.
Rohn had a Department of Corrections warrant out for his arrest for Escape from Community Custody with a “violent offender” caution. He was booked in the Clallam County Jail for Burglary, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Theft, as well as his warrant.
