Dr. Jacob Glanville of the company Distributed Bio in California, says his team has been working around the clock trying to come up with a drug to treat COVID-19. On Monday he announced he believes they’ve found one.
KFMB News reports that Glanville, one of the doctors featured in the Netflix show “Pandemic“, took a series of five antibodies from around 2002 that were able to neutralize SARS. He says they were able to use technology in their laboratories to adapt those antibodies to recognize COVID-19, and he’s hoping that by September they’ll be able to deliver it worldwide in the form of a shot.
Glanville says they’ve the antibodies to the military and other labs for further testing, and partnered with two different companies that will help them with large-scale production. We
