PORT ANGELES – Peninsula College will conduct all classes remotely or online next quarter.
The college campus is not closing, but classes will be held entirely online or remotely.
College President Luke Robbins says they’re trying to eliminate face-to-face work conditions where possible and keep appropriate social distancing. He called it an “ethical responsibility”. However, Robbins says the college must balance that with continuing education services to the community.
The college will use next week as planning and training days for faculty to prepare for spring quarter instruction.
Classes will begin Monday April 13, one week later than originally scheduled. The quarter will end as originally scheduled on June 19. Commencement is scheduled for June 20, and the college will decide about commencement ceremonies closer to that date.
